We settle into this bijou venue on a damp wednesday evening looking forward to the recently hotly tipped producer, writer, mc and vocalist Ghost Poet to take us through his lo-fi tracks accompanied only by his mic, delay pedal, laptop, guitarist and drummer who bring even more depth to these next level sounds.
This young UK rappers lyrics have a twisted edge mixed with clever wordplay (what else would you expect from a poet?) and that unique hazy vocal style turning it into a beautiful sonic blanket wrapping its way around you. ‘Aint Finished’ & ‘Lines’ stand out as killer tracks, all with haunting synths and production and driving kickdrum and snare you really do have to expect big tings for this Ghost Poet.
