Profile: Joe Kerrigan

by Baz Jobson on January 25, 2011

Joe Kerrigan is a photographer with a nack of picking up the grittier and real side of a city. And there’s nowhere more gritty than here.

He’s put together a collection of his photos taken over the past few years, in a book called ‘Bright Lights’ that shows the reality of most pretty gritty cities in the UK and beyond. Not polished. dirty, with deep seated urban decay that is ever so familiar today. Especially if you’ve ever taken the magical 21 bus from St James Lane to Hillmorton Road!

Check out some of the photos from his collection below, and then view the entire book and order your copy over at Blurb. Gerrr on it. Flickr.
